Early beta priorities

Build A Soccer Squad tier list

This tier list is role-based because the game is still moving fast. Instead of pretending every card value is locked, use these tiers to decide which upgrade actually helps your account right now.

Cup stand out path and exact bottleneck fixes

105+ Cup stand out cards and any card that lifts your lowest active slot above the Cup gate are the highest-impact targets. They change what you can enter, not just how your team looks.

A

Premium Captains and midfield bridges

Premium Captains tied to team completion can create long-term direction. Strong midfield cards are also valuable because they connect attack and defense in a 4-3-3 style squad.

B

Goalkeeper and defensive floor raisers

These cards do not always feel flashy, but they often solve the 93 OVR problem faster than another forward. Upgrade them when your attack is already ahead of the rest.

C

Duplicate style upgrades

A card that only improves a role you already dominate should wait unless it completes a team path, supports a Captain target, or replaces a genuinely weak starter.

How this tier list should be used

Build A Soccer Squad changes quickly, so a fake permanent card list would age badly. The safer way to make good upgrade decisions is to judge cards by the job they perform on your account. A card is S-tier for you when it unlocks Cup Mode, fixes your weakest starter, or moves you toward a known reward path like Cup stand out cards or a Premium Captain route.

A card is lower priority when it only improves a position that is already ahead of the rest of your team. That does not make the card bad. It means your next resource is probably better spent somewhere else until your squad is balanced enough for Cup consistency.

Resource priority by account stage

  • New account: complete the squad and avoid empty weak slots.
  • Near 90 OVR: upgrade the lowest role, not the most exciting card.
  • Near 93 OVR: save rerolls for the bottleneck position that blocks Cup entry.
  • After Cup entry: chase repeatable wins and long-term Cup reward cards.
  • After team completion: evaluate Premium Captains and future Limitbreaker quests.

Upgrade filter

Select the role that is blocking your next OVR jump.

Attack

Upgrade when finishing is your lowest line or when a forward completes a valuable team route.

Midfield

Prioritize when your squad has uneven links or needs a stable bridge into Cup Mode.

Defense

Prioritize when your team average is close to 93 but fullbacks or center backs are lagging.

Goalkeeper

Upgrade when one low GK rating is dragging the entire squad below the Cup entry gate.

Tier list FAQ

Are forwards always best?

No. Forwards feel powerful, but goalkeeper and defense upgrades often raise total OVR faster when those slots lag behind.

When should I reroll?

Reroll after checking your weakest active role. Rerolling without a target usually wastes the most flexible reward type.

Are Premium Captains worth it?

They are worth planning around when the required team completion is realistic for your account stage.

Do Cup Players change the tier list?

Yes. 105+ Cup stand out cards should become top-priority once you can reliably win Cups.
