When a Premium Captain route is worth chasing
A captain route is worth it when you already own several required players, the missing slots overlap with your active squad needs, and the final captain improves Cup readiness or Cup consistency. If all three conditions are true, the route gives your account a focused plan instead of random card chasing.
When to wait
Wait when the route requires too many cards you do not have, when your current squad is still far below 93 OVR, or when the missing cards would force you to ignore your weakest active position. Captains are long-term value, but Cup entry is the first gate for many players.
Captain route checklist
- Count how many route cards you already own.
- Check whether missing cards also fix weak active positions.
- Compare the route against direct 93 OVR upgrades.
- Do not spend flexible rewards on a captain route if Cup entry is still far away.
- Re-check after Limitbreaker Card Quests launch because card ceilings may change.
